Post by: Green Bottle on September 13, 2014, 11:05:20 AM
This is a thread about Football mostly but u can talk about any, ah mean any sport in here.
the World cup thread was quite popular an i know that most of the europeans in here like the game so talk about ur team in here or post their results or whatever u like about the greatest game on the planet.
In Scotland today Celtic had an early kick off v Aberdeen 12 . 45 at Celtic park, we controlled the 1st half and went in at the break 1 . 0 up , into the second an more pressure from Celtic an another goal scored by Commons, Aberdeen came bk into it for a wee while and equalised through Goodwillie but we held on till the end to take the pts,  Celtic 2 Aberdeen 1

Not many footballers here..... my oldest son coaches a youth, uh, football team. The key to success in the Southwest is how many Hispanics you have on your team. He has none. Those kids take their game SERIOUSLY. Especially when they can humiliate a blond white kid.

Don't take it anyone caught the Milan/Parma game... ended 5-4. Holy crap, I wish I had got to see it :(. Then Inter Milan won 7-0 today as well.

In Inzaghi's first two games as coach of Milan, they have scored 8 goals. That's pretty impressive.

Highlights...

Dis hear iz MERICA, we only have MERICAN football!!

In all seriousness, I enjoy a game or two, especially the WC, had a lot of fun with that recently

Coincidentally, remember the German-Brazil game? the funniest thing about that was that Pornhub had to ask its users to stop posting the game onto the site with names like "young brazillians get fucked by entire soccer team"

All I care about this time of year is baseball (Reds suck this year) and American football (Bengals are 2-0 and shut down the "big bad Atlanta offense") The big bad Steelers suck too which is almost as good as sex when that happens.
To recap, Bengals are in 1st place and Pittsburgh sucks.

That is all.  :shhh:

I confess to not knowing much about American football tho i have seen the Superbowl a few times and quite enjoyed it, my pal calls it Rugby with padding, but its a lot more exciting to watch that that fkn game.
Talking about the world champs Germany, we pld them last week an only just lost 2 . 1, so nearly getting a well deserved draw so well done Scotland.....

I watch both.  As an American I grew up on our brand of football.  I watch as much as time allows.  Got into "real"football a few years back, and with American networks beginning to show more and more matches, I have to say I am hooked.  The EPL is so much better than what I am used to seeing.  I would like to as see more of La Ligue or Serie A.  Haven't seen too much of those clubs.  Looking forward to the Champions League matches this week, though.

Soccer (sorry) is growing as a sport in the US. Our showing in the last World Cup is proof. My oldest grandson quit football and is now a Lacrosse player. My 3rd youngest is very much a soccer player. I personally have lost interest in professional and collegiate football. Not rooting for a team and haven't watched a game this year.

Championship Nose Picking.. The biggest booger by weight wins..gooey wet snot is a disqualifier.. No moisture content above 40% and pickers must use pinky finger at all times and no balling up wet boogers to make a bigger booger..

GOD! I COULD BE SOMEBODY!
