A Christian, in this case, I think got off easy for not fasting where as the Muslims who didn't most likely died or will die from the 70 lashes they got.

Well, all those sources above are quite biased against Iran/Islam.
Look, I'm not saying it isn't true, I would just like to have some really independent, unbiased sources confirming it. Until then I'll hold my judgement.
It's not true. I just looked up the punishment for not fasting by Islamic law and there isn't one. It's all spiritual, and repentance. Many Muslims, apparently, do not fast and they do other things to compensate for it.

It has nothing to do with Islam, It's Iran's constitution law that eating or smoking in public during days in Ramadan is punishable.
That judge probably did something out of order, but stuff like that happens everyday in Iran.

The article is satirical or just made up. It didn't happen. I should have researched it beforehand.
