It is good, but not great. But good. It would be beneficial to watch and try to push on other people. A pretty good guess at what the times were like for early jews and x-ians struggling for power at that time. Good slam against the ignorance of religion but still not a great movie. But still a good movie.......okay..a pretty good movie.

Hypatia is someone we should teach about in school, to show the role of women in philosophy and science.

The movie is worth watching as it shows the violent transition from a Hellenistic society to Christianity. It makes us question areas around the globe today where people are forced into accepting a religion for safety's sake. How many people, in the world today, live under this pretext. That also includes the western democracies. Damn you religion :(
