No offense, but I have to ask if you, Blackleaf, have a southern-American accent, since you live in Texas.
I don't have a southern accent (I have a normal American accent), even though I live in Mississippi.
I don't mind southern accents; in fact, I think some of them sound pretty cool (I have a cousin who is 33 years old who lives in Louisiana and has a slight southern accent; my dad has a southern accent as well).

No. I don't have a Southern accent. I don't know what my accent would be classified as, other than just "American," but I don't sound like a stereotypical Texan.

Most of us Texans just talk like Americans, the drawl accent is really just a regional accent here in Texas.
