I have no idea. Some on the list, such as Buttigieg and AOC, have little chance of winning a general election. Remember, of all the candidates in the last Democratic primary we got Biden and a significant number of voters thought the only way he won the general election was because it was rigged. According to a January 2022 Axios-Momentive poll, more than 40% of Americans still do not believe that Joe Biden legitimately won the 2020 presidential election despite no evidence of widespread voter fraud. If AOC won the general election there would be an well organized insurrection.

According to a recent Yahoo News/YouGov survey (https://californiaglobe.com/articles/gov-newsom-polls-higher-than-vp-harris-as-2024-dem-candidate-in-new-poll/), California Governor Gavin Newsom would have a better chance at beating likely Republican candidates than Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
The survey, which was conducted in late June, found that President Joe Biden has narrowly more support than former President Donald Trump in such an election, beating him 42% to 40%, with 18% undecided. In a matchup between Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Biden would have an even larger 41% to 37% lead, although with a larger 22% undecided group.
However, Californian candidates such as Harris and Newsom were found to do almost as well. A Harris/Trump matchup resulted in a 41%-41% tie, with 18% being undecided. Harris/DeSantis was identical to Biden's showing, 41%-37% with 22% undecided. A Newsom/Trump battle fared better for Newsom than Harris, with Newsom having a slight 40%-39% edge, with 21% undecided. A Newsom/DeSantis showdown, heavily touted in recent months thanks to incidents like the sparring over Disney jobs and the July 4th ad, has Newsom up 39% to 36%, albeit with 25% undecided.
Another highly touted early GOP candidate, former Vice President Mike Pence of Indiana, was not paired with any of the three Dems, but would also likely lose to all three, due to poll respondents preferring Trump to Pence in a 61% to 18% split.
Among Democratic voters, Biden is also the early favorite when compared to either of the Californians. 31% would like to see Biden remain in office compared to Harris' 25% with a whopping 39% not being so sure. And with Newsom, people would want Biden back even more, with Biden coming in at 37%, Newsom at 18%, and those not sure at 40%.
In total, both Biden and Trump seem to be the most strongly favored of the major candidates who have currently expressed interest or are rumored for a run, with results similar to the 2020 election.

I do like Mayor Pete's views. He is sharp. I don't understand reconciling being gay and christian, but whatever. Either Warren or Klobuchar would be a welcome change as well. Still need to learn about Newsom. He looks presidential, and well that means a lot in the US of A.

Most of the criticism I heard about Mayor Pete during the 2020 primaries was from progressives. He was being portrayed as a corporate shill and too conservative. Rebecca Katz, founder of the progressive consulting firm New Deal Strategies, put it bluntly: "There is frustration that Pete is the living and breathing embodiment of white male privilege." He switched from advocating Medicare For All to Medicare For All Who Want It, which was perceived by some to be a compromise and others as a sellout. I recall most conservatives not even bothering to seriously attack him.

Abrams or Buttigieg; I feel the latter is too much "more of the same", however if push came to shove he could be competent in a bad situation.
Personally, I'm becoming addicted to having a sane adult in office.
I have my misgivings with a lot of Dem candidates, but I can at least sleep knowing that they're not going to call for the murder of people they don't like, try to instigate a coup if they don't win, stack the courts with religious extremists who'll do everything in their power to take away reproductive rights from women and get women killed, or steal nuclear secrets to do god knows what with them, etc.
Imho, we should keep this sane leadership streak going for as long as possible.

CPAC has really cozied up to Viktor Orban, inviting him to speak at the CPAC convention in Dallas last month, and embracing his autocratic ideas of implementing his version of nationalist conservatism.

Although I don't always agree with him, I like Bernie, and would certainly vote for him if he is the Democratic candidate in a general election, but whether or not I would support him in a primary would depend upon who else is running.
