I dont follow news and so I am almost everytime clueless when my friends talk about the up-to-date politics, or about the latest football game between the teams which have the most fans, or about the latest episode of a Netflix series, or about trend topic on Twitter.

Pop country; even pop rap at least has good beats, but I don't know what the fuck is going on in the pop-country scene. It's just... not pleasant to listen to, and I don't think it's me being elitest... I think it's just as low-hanging fruit music as you can get.
Everything a certain sub-set of white people criticize rap for ("guns, violence, drugs, money, sex, objectifying women") is literally what pop country is all about ("mah ryfle, mah drunk fite, mah alcohol, mah $200,000 tractor I bangd hot blonde shoorty wit a big badankadonk on!).
"Celebrities", sports, country and western, most TV programming, rap. Though I do know a lot about religion- just enough to know it's BS.

Yep, and I dislike it even more because I can understand what they're saying (for the most part)

I listened to a "radio disney" version of a death metal song and it was essentially an environmentalist poem lol.
