Title: Is Bible idolatry heretical?
Post by: FreethinkingSceptic on December 19, 2021, 12:13:23 AM
Essentially, the Bible was written and canonized by imperfect men about Jesus and God. Therefore Bible idolatry (or "Biblioatry") could be viewed as heretical - deifying imperfect men and putting them on par with Christ or God himself. A potential recipe for Hell and damnation.

To the point that, if Jesus was present in the flesh, one might wonder if he'd view the Bibliolaters in the same light as Moses did the golden calf worshippers.
