Title: The science-guy prototype
Post by: Cassia on February 01, 2021, 02:34:19 PM
Always some of my favorite characters...even if bit parts...Einsteinian hair, glasses, so excitable on discoveries. Nerds unite !!! I would like some more female scientist characters in movies.

No.  Don Herbert had a show on TV in the early '50's called Watch Mr. Wizard.  I remember watching all of them and he did experiments with a kid my age and then he explained it, how it worked and why it worked.  I loved Mr. Wizard!

Egon spengler was one of the major reasons why my dream profession as a small kid was 'inventor'.

I have no idea but this reminds me one of the dreams of my childhood I've never been able to forget. It was about me and two boys trying to build a space craft. We just manage to get a little above the ground and fall down after all that hardwork and I still remember that disapointment and heartbreak. I was depressed for a while.

Any love for Beakman's World?  Never missed it m'self!

Also, Julius Sumner Miller, who bears a weird resemblance to the villain Simon bar Sinister from 'Underdog'...

Also also, Dr David Goodstein and The Mechanical Universe, with the best explanation of relativistic time and length distortion there has yet been.
