Well this is a shocker.. Whoda thunk congress would be in the pockets of the uber rich! :shock:
So at the top, you've got CEO's living in the lap of luxury. And at the bottom you've got workers that can barely put a roof over their heads and food in their mouths.
At least slave owners back in the day made sure that their slaves were fed and had a place to sleep.
That's because a slave was an investment, but a labourer is a useable resource. If one of them runs out, you just replace them with a new one.
Once the company has to teach their workers stuff, they take a little better care of them. But if anyone can be picked off the streets and do your job, why would they give a fuck?
