We have people who in the 60s supported Fidel, Mao or Ho. Today we have people who support Maduro, Xi or Raul (Fidel's elderly brother). This is perfectly acceptable to Venezuelans, Chinese or Cubans. It isn't acceptable for Americans, not then, not now. This is crying "Fire" in a crowded theater. This is sedition.
If authoritarianism is right, then it would have been right to imprison or kill, the student protestors of the 1960s or today.
