A good modern review, for those who take the time to understand the last 170 years (1849 is when Marx got to London).

If I agreed with you about Marx, I would actually be sort of Republican.  National control/support of agriculture, produce, cotton, etc...  And you do and I don't...

Well. most Americans, have supported some of the contents of The Communist Manifesto, since at least Teddy Roosevelt.  Even Marx can be half write (sarc) on a good day.

Elements of socialism are essential in large numbers of people getting along.  Road rules, public education, calendars, counting systems...

It isn't the voter who counts, it is who counts the votes who counts - Stalin.

The problem with vast social machinery is corruption.  People want to take asymmetrical advantage of the machine.  Because we are evil monkeys.

Iffy quote.  check here...  https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/stalin-vote-count-quote/

I do agree though that large systems are corruptible.  Hence the need for honest government in the hands of informed voters rather than big money.  And the Repubs are entirely in the hands of the big money and uninformed (who watch only only Faux News and listen to Glen Beck on the radio) for now.

Keep in mind that have of us are stupid (not evil) monkeys.  And that less than half are conservative Repubs.

OMG, never did I expect THAT!  C'mon Baruch, when you make a joke, you are SUPPOSED to signal it with a J/K or something.

Sorry, most of my jokes are dead pan, not bed pan.
