We're a species that is overpopulated. When it comes to species control, anyone in the field will tell you sometimes in order for a species to survive another needs to be culled to preserve those species or it's environment.

There's no lack of water on the planet, just a lack of potable water. We need to improve desalination tech and then we may be better off, at least as far as water is concerned. No. Tribal rivalries is traditional past time in the region. There isn't one place without it. It has been going on for thousands of years. People have lived in that culture for so long. What really changed? Drought. A drought so bad there is literally nothing left. I am not talking about 'oh poverty'. I am talking about nothing. Simply nothing. That actually gets awkward. I invest in index funds, and I don't bother to read the annual statements about exactly WHO they invest in. Granted, it is sort of "everything", but that DOES mean the good with the bad. You can't invest in an index and say "oh, but not THAT stock".
I'm not skilled enough to choose successful stocks among the "good" companies. And I'm I can't tell who all the "bad" companies are. Besides, some who are successful aren't obvious where they do business. I just invest in the general economy...
And, BTW, I mostly out of stocks right now, expecting Trump to destroy the global economy to some extent.
It seems he wants to destroy every economy except that of his puppet-master, Putin.
