Title: One more from Professor Hawking
Post by: trdsf on May 02, 2018, 12:46:09 PM
A paper he submitted ten days before his death may not only resolve the so-called fine-tuning problem by showing why the parameters of the universe are what they are but also may point the way to actually identifying parallel universes in the CMB (http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-43976977).

Now that's a mic drop.

He was an amazing man.   I learned so much from him and his books.

The comments on that article are hilariously stupid and vapid.

Quote from: BBCInstead, the Hartle-Hawking idea used a different theory called quantum mechanics to explain how the Universe arose from nothingness.
How can anyone take this article serious?

Again, as John Lenox said:
Nonsense remains nonsense, even if Stephen Hawking says it.

Yes, he was a great scientist, no one can deny it.
But in his quest to find a replacement for a Creator of the Universe, he made just one mistake.
He tried to explain that Gravity and energy was this nothingness, and due to physics, the big bang occurred.

I think this was his greatest mistake, and even perhaps the only mistake he will be remembered for.

Apparently you never lived with a woman, before tampons, kotex or "the rag" were invented.  Gentiles eat shit and drink urine .. who knew?

When the bible or any other religious text says moronic things, only the moronic people will agree.

Uber-mensch is only a site-constructed designation due to numbers of posts.  If value of post-content was the definition, you would probably be a sponge.

Then I would be useful.  I feel triggered, on behalf of all sponge-kind ... raciiiiiss.

I just found out this morning that dolphins just loves them some SpongeBob SquarePants (https://www.rezone.info/2018/12/dolphins-watched-spongebob-squarepants-for-science/)! LOL

I wonder how long it will take for those poor dolphins to become couch potatoes?

I have seen a program where they played flute music for them, and they liked it much.

I wonder if dolphins would prefer Bach or the Beastie Boys?

Animals with built in sonar prefer The Well Tempered Clavier of course.

As long as your Well Tempered Clavier can range between 2,000 to 150,000 Hz, they will hear it just fine.  You and I won't.  We're the lower end at 20 to 20,000 Hz

There is no accounting for taste, or frequency range ;-)

Actually, sound might BE taste to dolphins.  All sensory perception are in the mind of the recipient...

Well there is synesthesia, and there are psychotics.
