If they dont want her as a student, fine, but its pretty fucked up to refuse to transfer her credits.

The credit thing is pretty standard for their ilk of bible colleges (and they're actually extremely lenient compared to others - my friends and I use to laugh at how lax their dress code was). If you got kicked out at the one I went to, you had to debase yourself before a committee until it was determined you were truly repentant, then you'd be given a one year suspension from college. Because that doesn't fuck up your loans or anything.

Since the school committed an act (expelling her) that made her liable for certain monies (the payback of the loans), the school's action constitutes a tort and, if she gets herself a good attorney, the school will have to pay the loans and the attorney's fee. It's 2nd year law school, not rocket surgery.
