Title: Tumblr: Snowflakes or Emotionally unstable, or both?
Post by: Jannabear on March 29, 2016, 06:14:49 PM
It's a common topic whenever someone mentions LGBT issues, is tumblr primarily consisting of people faking being LGBT, are they just emotionally unstable and oversensitive, or are they trying to be snowflakes by flaunting the fact that they're LGBT.
(I'm aware not all of tumblr is like this)
Thoughts?
(The same may apply to mental illnesses and other things, and even the otherkin phenomena (I'm aware otherkin aren't fucking animals, but do you think they have an actual interest in it)

Everyone has their own thing. What matters to someone else may not matter to you, and vice versa. What upsets you may not upset other people, and vice versa. I think it's fundamentally disrespectful to wave it away as someone being "too sensitive" though. People feel how they feel.

I think this conversation can't really proceed without an objective example to talk about.
