"it is a word that is used" (glances around looking for support)

Sorry honey but this is not your social media echochamber, this is the real world where people do not take gendered insults from the mouth of a supposedly progressive politician.

Going to need to know the full context. And there is nothing hypocritical about it... minority vs majority dynamics simply are a reality of the world.

I'm loving the womansplaining, you know the way how she whines about tone instead of addressing the argument. Because you know thats totally woman-like being emotional rather than logical in a discussion.

BTW those dam kids are blackbehaving in the streets again making a ruckus. BRB

Well considering his part is conveniently cut from the video, it's kinda hard to know what she is or isn't reacting to. I don't actually know if there was an argument since the video never shows his tone, attitude or even words themselves.

Also, I see you don't grasp the concept of minority or majority...

The fuck does it matter what he said? It does not follow that even if this guy was a complete asshole his assholery should be labeled as mansplaining as if men had the monopoly on being assholes in discussions. As if it is such a male thing to be condecending in a discussion. Imo this could very well be true but the gigantic hypocrisy is what matters. The fact that this woman would never dare using terms like womansplaining or blacksplaining or whatever. But her mental gymnastics allows her to say things about males, to males or about maleness she would never allow against other group. Shut the fuck up with muh minority-majority dynamics. Sexism is sexism. Seriously i actually though you were smarter than trying to grasp at straws to excuse de idiocy of this women using a term like that.

Btw women cry more often that males so i guess it is ok to try to by making up a stupid gendered word  to ridicule women in arguments. Surely that will turn out fine. Womansplaining: the act of being a crybaby in an argument.

It matters what he said in case he was actually talking down to her because she was just a woman. I would think that would be obvious. We get that you don't like the term, but you do realize that the thing it describes actually does happen and that THAT is the real problem, right?

The guy in question is an ass, according to Australians in the Reddit discussion, but in this case he was simply interrupted while laying out his position.

Fair and balanced (like Fox News).

We could stop being childish and deal with people as individuals and condenm them for their indivdual defects? Rather than trying to make up stupid words just because theres an average trend in a population that makes them more likely to act in some way.

Crime happens and is a real problem. Poor people on average commit more crime. So stop poorbehaving! See? It is not cool. But my main point was not about men never being condecending to women in a discussion but rather about the stupidity of the word and the hypocrisy of the progressive senator in using it.

Also i have not seen any evidence that men are more condecending or assholish on average on conversation. But I can see that being true due to lowered risk aversion in males.

So are you unable to understand the concept of reductio ad absurdum and sarcasm?
