This is my first post so I thought I'd take a second to share something that hopefully our entire community can show support in.
Well, where to start...
I guess instead of mindlessly spamming my link to anyone who takes the time to read this, I think it's only fair that I share a little about myself if you are willing to lend a ear to my music.
I rap. WAIT. I know what your thinking.
"Yeah; you, my grandmother, the dog and everyone else nowadays."
I don't "gangster rap". I'd like to think that my music has a message. (One that our particular crowd may enjoy even more if you can listen between the lines.)
I'd rather not try to describe my style of rap and would rather just humbly ask that you give it a listen for yourself and hope that you find it enjoyable.
I do believe that you will.
I've always been an atheist. Even as a child, my christian upbringing never sat well with me. I kept my "lack of belief" to myself for many years into my adulthood. It's been about 7 years that I've been openly atheist and, well, I don't think I have to explain the reaction i get from the general public. (<-- This is a first.)
I have recently started uploading music that I have been working on and I don't always get the greatest support via facebook, friends, family etc. (sometimes because of my personal belief and sometimes because of my touchy music subject matter.)
This is where you guys come in. I ask that you give my music a listen.
If you enjoy, I'd be so appreciative of any likes, shares, reposts, responses etc.
if you don't enjoy I'd be appreciative of any dislikes or recommendations.
Either way thanks for even taking the time for reading this.... I sincerely hope you enjoy my music.

Well what is one to post about for the next 100 posts? Is it not enough that I express my thoughts and beliefs (or lack thereof) through my music and simply want to share it with others that may appreciate it?
It's not my intention to get famous off of this post or something if that's what your hinting at. And I don't intend on posting 100 times for the sake of avoiding scenarios such as this.
Yes. I would like the opportunity to be heard. I feel like there are people that may appreciate the music. ( SPOILER! You may not be one of these people.)
With that said, if you would have taken the time to listen, you may have also seen that is appropriate for this community and a relevant post.
Please feel free to say what you will. I won't be replying from here on out.

Nope.
This is forum for discussion of topics related to atheism by those who choose to participate in such discussions. It is not intended to be a platform for self promotion of musical endeavors by those who, by their own admission, have absolutely no intention of becoming an active contributing member of the group. Doing so will only serve to annoy those whom you wish to recruit as fans.

Little tidbit of info. Rap stands for Rhythm And Poetry. So it
is kind of in the grey area of music/not music.

Welcome to the forum, cash_gig. I hope you'll like it here and enjoy the threads and debates going on.
In the year (and a half?) I've been here, I've plugged some stuff too. But understandeably it might not come over well if you add some in your first post. We're all here for a great many, different reasons, but self-promotion should hardly be the first. I'm not saying it is, but you must at least see how it sure as hell looks like it.
I won't listen to your songs. Not now. Rap isn't my thing and at this point in time, I don't want to waste my time with it. (Even though it might be good.) And also because I don't know you and you made it seem in your second post you don't care about letting us to get to know you nor did you display any interest in getting to know those on this forum.
To which all I can say; your loss. There are quite some likeable assholes posting in these threads.
Hoping you'll reconsider and join our little band of heathens none the less. If not, all the best.

Your post jumped right out screaming spam especially with the username Cash gig.
I have no problem with anyone posting their music because several have done so here myself included, but we also post other thoughts and ideas and people get to know us a bit.
Try a new approach and you might even gain a few fans, but jumping right out with links to your self promotion isn't going over well if you hadn't noticed.. You may also even try a different username.. Ca$h Gig really screams of spam..
