OK, I've identified the link as click bait, based on the fact that after looking at the summary, I could not resist reading the explanation. I was thinking, "How in world does Yahoo go about polling ISIS? To they telephone masked terrorists, and interview them by the phone, or do they pass out printed questionnaires that can be sent in anonymously by terrorists they approach at the outdoor markets?"
Then I find out it's only someone's opinion of what is most likely going to benefit ISIS recruitment program. In defense of yahoo, at least they didn't attempt to deliver propaganda like the shit that comes out of the political parties national committees for slandering opponents. What I gleaned was that ISIS isn't much affected by who's president. They hate everyone else about the same. But at that point in my reading, I had pretty much forgotten why I was tempted into clicking on the link in the first place.
Indeed, this article is definitely not based on any standard method of polling. It was based almost exclusively on the assumption: which candidate if elected would best serve the interests of ISIS, which is measured in how it would motivate more recruits to join the cause. At its worst, the article is mild entertainment.
I would have thought Hillary would be an ISIS favourite. Trump's rhetoric compliments the enemy of ISIS who is currently bombing them, Putin. Hillary's rhetoric.. well.. "We came. We saw. He died." while talking about the enemies of ISIS. She says she's proud to have Iran as an enemy of hers. A vote for Clinton is a vote for a good chance of a war with Iran. If I was an ISIS supporter and lived in the US, Hillary would be my gal and she'd have my vote.
I think, speaking for this situation specifically, that Sanders would be the last choice for ISIS. I will admit, though I disagree with him on the idea of an assault weapons ban I am a Sanders fanboy. That bias being stated, here's my reasoning:
Most other presidential candidates want the US to lead the effort against ISIS. Militarily (as in, we have more bombs), that'd a fine idea. Propaganda wise? NO! If one takes even a casual look at Dabiq, the fucking magazine ISIS puts out, they would understand that ISIS wants nothing more than some great confrontation with the US. They lay that point out multiple times. They want to confront the west, the US and France in particular.
The reason they want this is to show other Muslims (not ALL Muslims), who have already decided that we are the great Satan, that they are getting a reaction.
Sanders' plan is to let Muslim countries lead, so ISIS can't comfortably claim to be representing Muslims vs. the west.
Some people can see beyond jingo militarism ... engaging with the tar baby of terrorism ... is just what they want. Hence terrorism is an MI6/CIA plot to benefit the MIC. In politics, you have to get comfortable with evil thoughts, like the Grinch wanting to raid Whoville on Christmas Eve.
The Islamic state would vote DemocRat.
Islamic revolution in Iran happened under democRats, the democRats helped that Bosnian war criminal Naser Oric when he provoked the Serbs, this Arab spring happened under democRats there was no IS in Libya before the Arab spring, Libya abandoned their WMD program when they saw what Bush did to Iraq.
Religious groups -or any kind of minorities- only vote for anything sort of left, when they are a minority in that country. And they do not miss the left if they find it. There is no left in the US, so ISIL would vote for democrats if they were a minority. For example, islamic groups and other minorities in EU vote for the left.
Other than that they always support religious groups.
US being regarded as Satan by the islamist extremists would not change any minority vote.
You know what could actually change the vote? That 47.2 % Americans think USA is Satan to them now.
"They would vote for a Muslim" is a good hypothesis. Of course, they'd have to be the right kind of Muslim.
That is assuming one disregards the two-party system that will not produce a Muslim candidate this time...
*Three beer logic at it's best.
I am proud America because of Representative Ellison, the only actual Muslim in Congress. Doesn't represent my district. All I got is drunk Southern Baptist hypocrites to represent me in Congress ;-) We need some Buddhists in Congress too, start a peace offensive ... Ommmm. So maybe if Rep. Ellison were running for President, ISIS might support him ... but then I would prefer, in fantasy politics, to vote for President Putin. There are no real men in America, we need to import some.
