Just noticed as an aside that the international press is producing generally more publicity for Kanye West and the Kardashians than anything to do with global warming or the current problems in the Middle East, et al. Methinks we might want to reorganize our priorities.
You know, you can insert catholic priest/altar boy, Mormon Boy Scout leader/scout and probably a few variations on a theme on that article and it would read the same. Religion and rape culture; a match made (literally) in heaven.

I dunno. Are engineers geeks? Never thought of them that way because I have worked with them professionally and they seem to run more to good ol' boy drinking buddies or else religious. More get off on Erector sets (go where you want with that) than anything I'd call scientific. But I wouldn't mind seeing a flood of fembots/boybots on the market. Scarlett Johanssen and Brad Pitt lookalikes getting it in every orifice routinely every day. The mind boggles. Might also save some school children from being abused.
:hum:
You must be a geek. That way you have proved my point. Not that I am against perversion. But it boggles my mind, people wanting to make out with sex dolls of various levels of realism. The ultimate was I, Mudd ...

Notice how the geeks go into overload and start acting crazy ;-)
Not surprising at all. It is India, after all, where rape is still very much just a fact of life for women.

True, but this forum has its fair share of Christians bashing. Not enough of Islam bashing tho'. Besides, while there aren't many members of this forum who are Christian apologists, there are plenty of Islam apologists, and it's fun to see them coming out of the woods just to defend their cherish "persecuted" group...;-)

This is something I don't get about India. Is it just that there are so many people, and a percentage are rapists, and so the absolute number of rapists is high? Or is the a correlation with the Muslims (who do fantasize rape IMHO) in India vs the Hindus in India (who fantasize more consensual sex)? Not that many goddess worshippers there ... so maybe not many are afraid of Durga ... though they should be ;-)
QuoteIndia has been characterised as one of the "countries with the lowest per capita rates of rape".[5] The National Crime Records Bureau of India suggests a reported rape rate of 2 per 100,000 people, much lower than reported rape incidence rate statistics for many nations tracked by the United Nations.[3][6] A majority of rape cases in India, as elsewhere in the world, are never reported.
QuoteThe number of reported rape cases in India have been steadily rising over the past decade. This, according to researchers, is because more and more women are coming out to report incidents of rape. Nonetheless, NCRB reports state that the number of reported rapes in India are only an estimated 1% of the total number of rapes that take place annually in the country
So if the real number is 100 times greater than the national statistics, that means the real number is 200 per every 100,000 people or 0.2%. Compare that to the US rate of 0.1% and it becomes an interpretation game. On one hand you can say HOLY SHIT INDIA IS TWICE AS RAPEY AS THE US. On the other, you can say 'yeah but its only 0.2%.'

and difference between poor and normal people and legal support stuffs.
give these men some horrible ideas.
and of course more reporting of the crime.
O and the dresses too.

Counter-posters ... are not really Islam apologists, it is a reflection of what is anti-popular in current news. If someone was hysterically posting bad news about Christians, then counter-posters would rise up and try to neutralize the propaganda .. to re-center things. The absolutist types are fought by the relativist types. The impassioned vs the apathetic. There will be bad Christian news eventually.

Pakistan is multi-cultural in a disjunctive sort of way. Always has been, at least since the end of the Indus Civilization. Defending minorities in some Western countries is political ... it serves one political side or other to do so. As I understand it, politics in Pakistan is clan based ... not ideology based. So ultimately all Pakistan clans are on the same side, they only differ on who should be running things. So a minority there is like a Dalit or Dakoit in India.
@CloneKai
Defending a minority and defending a religion are two different things.

i didn't know it was clan based anymore.

Muslims are not monsters. They are fighting in the cause of Allah, to cleanse the world of kufr.
That is a noble and just cause, it will bring peace I will please Allah.
Inshallah.

True, for many, they are their religion, and nothing but that. Fortunately, there are some who see themselves as bigger than their religion. For them, there is still hope. For the former, no hope. They are lost and some of them, very dangerous.

this kinda feels religiousy to me.
good thing these religious people don't like to do research to make sure they are accurately following their belief. just believe the crap they already believe in.
QuoteYou haven't been around long enough.
When I logged on today... about 8-9 threads talking about Islam... a grand zero talking about Christanity. Only 2-3 non-religious related threads.
Yeah they are more or less equally represented I guess.

You're not going to get research from these people when the religion is about submitting to the will of Allah - you ought to know that much...

Belief in the status quo is the greatest religion of all, and confirmation bias the greatest theology.
