Title: Halloween 2015
Post by: Bruno on October 31, 2015, 06:40:56 PM
I've had decent amount of kids coming to the house so far, with some impressive costumes...lots of vampires and ninja turtles.

I'm handing out the following:

(These are full size bars by the way, none of that mini-size crap at my house, and I buy what I like)

I let the kids choose, and so far it's a tie between the Kit Kat and Reese's, then Hershey's and dead fucking last is Twix.

What the hell is this world coming to when kids won't pick Twix? We're handing out 5 pound bags of sugar this year in hopes that the kiddies will learn to make their own candy. We considered individual wrapped razors for the advanced trick or treaters but decided against it because then we would have had to pass out shaving cream.

We made the fatal mistake of buying crap candy at the dollar store and now we have a bunch of candy nobody really likes leftover .. Not many kids out here, but there were a few.

Anyone heard about this bullshit they call trick or trunk where people park cars and hand out candy in parking lots so their precious little ones don't have to walk more than about 30 feet?

Me too.  haven't had a trick-or-treater in the 8 years I've lived here.  But just in case, I bought small boxes of Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookies in the advent that some tot decides to hike up my driveway into the woods in the dark.  But I'll probably be eating cookies for a month.  Right now, I'm going to watch the 1976 version of Carrie, and have some milk and cookies.  It's a bit early, but I figure, I'd better get started on all those cookies.

I was having a good halloween, carved up a load of pumpkins, baked a pumpkin pie from one, tried a 'munchkin' pumpkin, which wasn't to appetizing, but tried it. And was all set on chilling out with leftover chocolates and something cold while watching several new horror movies.

Then, the people who live in front of me decided to have an all open door and window halloween party, from 7pm here, and still going on past 12. I've not been able to watch anything, because of all the shit rav music they keep playing, and I'm at this moment debating on calling the police over the noise.

They do that here, but it's usually a couple days before halloween, at the school parking lots...this way classmates get a chance to hangout together in their costumes.
I've never actually been to one, but my boss say's at her daughters school a lot of the parents will decorate the trunks and they make a mini-tailgate party out of it, sans alcohol.

It's tough being old huh? :wink2:

Just had the best kid of the whole night stop by...it's late, haven't had anyone in over 20-30 minutes and I hear someone at the door. Kid in a scream mask with a billowy cape...he had been by earlier, one of the first kids I had stop by tonight.

As I drop some candy in his overstuffed bag I say, "Hey, weren't you hear earlier tonight?" and he replies with a sinister laugh as he runs and jumps off my porch, "That's right dude, I'm the Halloween Bandit, whaahahahahahahha".

Awesome...

Little girl came to our door and said she was dressed as the "death angel" all smiles so I said,  'You're pretty cheerful for being a death angel.'

'Oh I can go all depression if you want me to!'

This came from a 6 year old girl ..  Somehow I have a feeling that kid is going to have a few issues growing up ..

So i went round the guys house, a load of people looking pissed off their heads in halloween costumes.. but turns out the guy I spoke to, said the houses owner wasn't even in, he let it out to his mates to use for a party.

Sounds now though like they turned the music off, just hear drunk talking now, which I can handle.

I don't mind parties or people smoking pot or general cigs or getting pissed off their heads, but not right in my face or 12 feet from my bedroom window

maybe I should mail my neighbor my selection of porn, that feels like the right course of action in this regard.

I relish the fact that all the parents get to deal with the kids and their sugar highs tomorrow. We get maybe 40 kids, mostly Hispanic. Next day either one of my grand kids get a butt load of candy or I sit it outside and let the neighbor kids help themselves. I'm diabetic so I don't eat it.

We have Halloween at work, the Friday before, if it isn't a work day.  We have a few kids come by, and the adults have a costume contest.  I have bowed out of the costume contest due to age, but I used to be a winner.
