You understand it was specifically the ".com" which implies a difference between for-profit and non-profit, and I wondered why you don't have the ".net", ".org", or other.

".com" means "commercial". ".org" and ".net" are typical of nonprofit organizations or other non-commercial sites.
so you are suggesting that every .com is a commercial for profit website? Hmm, I suppose I could look a….ah hell no, don't really care.

The .com was from the original owner, Reggie Finley, aka the infidel guy. We bought the site from him, the .com came with it.
