This is a video which starts off as a routine traffic stop, but in the last 30 seconds escalates to lethal force.

In case you missed it, the cop applied his taser to subdue the teen when he resisted arrest. The taser evidently misfired, and the teen was able to get up and attack the cop. There was a struggle which resulted in the cop using his gun and firing multiple rounds into the teen.
This, to me, is a textbook case of an idiot who was too dumb to live. The cop was only pulling him over to give a verbal warning; he states that earlier that same night he had pulled over other cars for the same offense (flashing brights when his brights weren't on), and that no citations had been issued. The incident only escalated as a result of the teen's actions. The cop was polite and friendly until the teen necessitated and then resisted arrest.
Personally, I think the cop handled this as well as he could have. The teen thought he was gonna do his "freeman of the land" act and show the world that the cops are just a bunch of pigs... by not cooperating and eventually assaulting the cop. The cop, on the other hand, just wanted to correct a potentially unsafe behavior, and tried many times to defuse the situation before resorting to arrest; and only resorted to lethal force when non-lethal force had failed and the teen assaulted him.

I lived near an 83 year old man when I was a kid in Indiana. One day the cops pulled him over for driving too slow on a main highway, 27 mph IIRC. When the cop walked up to his car the geezer opened fire with a .45 automatic. Four in the chest and the cop was dead. When he saw what he'd done he shot himself. His wife was left sitting by the road with two dead bodies. I was the third person to stop at the scene that day, on my way to school. The scene is still crystal clear in my head. As are the sounds his wife was making.

I am just speechless! To say that is horrible is to not come even close! I can have sympathy for you, but I just cannot imagine what that must have been like!
That's why I am not a cop, I would popped that little fucker after asking for his ID the third time. You don't argue with people who have a gun in the first place, you're not going to win an argument with a cop AT NIGHT...ALONE....and no one else around to watch. Kids arrogance killed him, well, actually we know what killed him.
Did the idiot say he just dropped someone off at church? This cop gets my admiration for being as professional and patient as you can be with someone as obnoxious as that idiot was being. There are bad cops, but this one is not one, and if they were all as professional as he is, they really would serve and protect us. Even when I see other videos where people protest because a cop shoots unarmed people, you see this same kind of disrespect for cops that have to deal with idiots like this every day while putting their lives on the line. Is there anything dumber than not obeying an officer who has the legal right to shoot you? When I was a teenager we had some really bad cops that I hated, but there was no way I was going to argue with them when pulled over, even when I did nothing wrong, and didn't even get a ticket after being grilled in their squad car. My only problem is that police protect the bad cops that they know are bad, like doctors that do the same because they belong to the same group.
