Title: Vlog on religion by a gamer I follow
Post by: PickelledEggs on June 11, 2015, 11:13:40 PM

Lets be honest here. One of the biggest reasons I follow her on youtube is because she talks about sex, is drop dead gorgeous, and I like eyecandy. I feel a little less guilty about it because she is a legit gamer that is not just in to League Of Legends... a game that seems like people, not just girls, stream because it earns easy views. She plays games like Bloodborne, Magic The Gathering, Mortal Kombat. Everything. She also talks honestly, something else that I like.

Now I have another reason to be subscribed!!!

She may be a blonde but she is not a bimbo.  Very ironic for an incarnation of Aphrodite/Venus to be an atheist.  People of a given ethnic group are the incarnation of the deities of that ethnic group.  Pygmalion (the mythical Cypriot), must be spinning in Hades, he who sculpted a statue of a woman who came alive by the grace of Aphrodite, the Cypriot goddess.  Like a woman who is unconscious of who she is (the usual condition of all humans).  Personally I find desire to be the greatest form of theology (aversion not so much), and positive sex to be the greatest sacrament.

Her hair is dyed. Her eyebrows are too, so probably she is a brunette. Also she is 'operated on' obviously.

They ask Dolly Parton if she is offended by the stupid blonde jokes. She says 'Of course, I am not offended. Why would I be? I am not stupid. Oh and also not blonde.'

Just joking, no offense to blonde people.

It's a good thing sexy chicks do this stuff, more people watch it.

"Wow, she's pretty AND intelligent" in a sardonic and surprised way kinda annoys me. AFAIK there isn't a relation between beauty and intelligence.

Sal1981 ... ouch!  Didn't realize I was in range of your backhand ... 2 Love?

Of course, in reality, leaving off the many-universe theory with colliding branes (or brains?) that is just a particularly symmetrical and bumpy wave function with associated higher frequency acoustic emissions, right?  I get suspicious when mathematicians and string theorists start speaking of beauty ... do they ever get dates?

Aesthetic theory ... truth is beauty, beauty is truth.  But intelligence without beauty is ... a stag grad student party at the physics department on any given Friday night, right?

She claims to be satanist. So she is still a believer. She just believes in satan.

*yawn*   Just another worthless, non-existent god.

So what's the difference between this carpet kitten and the rest of the believers?

Not much,  really.  Except she IS hot. Dayumm...  Really hot.

Most likely, she's talking about LaVeyan/atheistic satanism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism#Atheistic_Satanism).  This is different from theistic satanism whose adherents believe that satan is an actual deity and worship him.

While I don't personally agree with atheistic satanism, particularly Lex Talionis (eye for an eye) and belief in magic - I do see the appeal of the reversal of typical Christian teachings (indulgence instead of abstinence, for example) as well as an orientation focused on the self rather than focused on some external object of worship.

Satanists, like atheists in general, are typically very loosely affiliated with one another, exist as an unfairly stigmatized minority, and we have common adversaries.  Plus, I find their attempts at sneaking religion into schools or government property just to antagonize Christian theocrats frickin' hilarious and can find it in my heart to support them for that reason alone.  We may never see eye to eye, but I see no reason why we can't be on friendly terms.

Tantra (ritual indulgence) is pretty universal in all belief systems ... the flip side of the usual practices.

G-d and Satan are not mutually exclusive concepts.  Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds ... skepticism means uncovering and killing all unconscious assumptions, including the Law of Excluded Middle.

I second what Hydra said. Satanism most of the time is meant to be referred to LaVayan satanism. Basically a flavor of atheism with some vague values. They don't believe in satan as a real entit... if anything, they look up to him the way some people look up to Superman or Goku from DBZ, as a fictional character (that they know is fictional) that they strive to emulate.

She's pretty intelligent and her views on things are pretty neat too, imo. Her looks are the bonus for me because I usually watch this while I'm working on my artwork though... and by watching, I mean mostly listening. I wouldn't follow someone on youtube based on looks alone, that's what tube galore and redtube is for. Content is always key for my youtube subscriptions.
