*hangs head*

sigh...

I can understand better then anyone, that having gay superheroes representing you is needed. But weaving being gay and a mormon together into one, thats like making a superhero for diabetic bears, it doesn't gel together.

Like the first comment on the page said, "Such an oxymormon"

If gay mormons were honest about reality, they'd know how bullshit their faith is, and none are more indoctrinated then mormons.

Here, if a gay super hero is needed, I can beat this.. urm.. well I can do better.

This is how you do proper gay comic books.

This doesn't bother me because I grew up in farm country. I've seen some shit........... You want to scare a young girl, take her to the farm for the first time when the mares are in season. If you've ever seen a stallion take a mare in heat, well... speaks for itself.

There's nothing like 20 inches of hard horse meat slamming into a mare's backside to get your attention.

Love it.  This is finely calculated to piss off everyone and nothing that didn't piss off someone was ever worthwhile.  The only way it falls flat is if it tries to suggest Mormonism is open and accepting (and if there's too much nekkid female angel).  I checked the creator's homepage; he's gay himself and still self-identifies as Mormon.  One expects this is a little bit self-therapy; he seems to be realist enough to know that the LDS isn't going to change its policies over a comic book (and I will be surprised if he isn't excommunicated by the Trolls of Salt Lake City shortly after publication).

Whether it's interesting enough to pick up a copy, I haven't decided yet.

I ran into this in Eastern Montana while camping out with my wife.  A horse woman came riding by on a stallion when they came upon a mare in heat.  I can't remember the exact sequence, but the next thing I remember, she was off the horse that was now trying to mount the mare.  Apparently this was a no no, because the woman started beating on the stallion and yanking the reins in a panic.  She did manage to interrupt the process, just as her horse was ejaculating.  The mare gave a kick and the stallion reared up on his hind legs just as he was letting loose.  Oh my word, I've never seen so much semen.  It shot up into the air and created a glistening arc in the morning sun.  I'm not talking about a squirt that flies through the air and traces an arc.  I'm talking about a rainbow like thing of squishy liquid hanging briefly and then falling out of the air covering much of the immediate area, including the horse woman.

Now I didn't know that mares squirted anything as described in an earlier post, so maybe much of this liquid was that.  It was spectacular.  My wife and I were dumfounded.

Kind of funny. To many, a gay superhero is redundant.

Hey, just because you're a 30-year-old billionaire bachelor with a chiseled physique who lives with a lithe 20-year-old guy and you both dress up in tights doesn't necessarily mean you're gay.

You know, there have been gay super heroes for years, now. Element Lad comes to mind.

Seriously?  The Mike Grell Legion issues in the 70s provided a definite kickstart to my hormonal development.  :)

Well.. lets be honest, the demographic they made batman for wouldn't have worked as well if catwoman was batmans fag-hag.

Yeah, but the demographic all those golden age super heroes were made for is not the demographic they're catering to now. Been that way since the start of the silver age and when comics publishers found out they had a market of man-children who were still reading comic books after they'd grown up.

Yeah, that's pretty much the sort of thing I'm talking about.  And for some reason at the time I never connected my tropism for the lithe, muscular guys and utter obliviousness to the buxom girls and thought, "Hey, I'm gay!"  Different days... it's a lot easier to come out now than it was in 1978.

agreed, still sadly it seems its a case by case basis with the writers. They made one of the alternative reality wolverines (or just james howlett) in a relationship with hercules, even made the main timeline wolverine come across the alternative timeline one and comment to himself about his alternative self and hercules doing it.

Sadly, we're probably never get something as mainstream as a major player doing this, because there is still that sense of current media not quite progressive enough to make full on openly gay main characters without the usual backlash of bullshit. Its at a stage now where northstar can marry his boyfriend and everyones like 'aww, isn't that nice', instead of 2 decades ago where him coming out was like 'omg a fag superhero!". So its a step, but gonna take a lot more work for mediums like comic books, tv, games and movies to make mainstream gay characters.

More like a villain, if you ask me. Populating the planet full of his inbred brood of mormon minions. Terrifying.

Edit: I forgot that we were talking about a gay mormon superhero. Not really sure how that would work... although if he had some sort of superpower that impregnates men... then that would be diabolical....

If Batman wasn't gay then he had to be bi-sexual.  I mean why did he keep Robin around for anyway?  Why do you suppose he was called the Boy Wonder?

The irony is, while it was never a thing DC would own up to if he was, when Wildstorm made The Authority series, two of the main characters in that was the openly gay couple, Apollo and Midnighter -

Yeah someone got the idea of what if there was a gay couple inspired on batman and superman, only they were dam violent in the stuff they got away with doing, making batman's no killing policy look saturday morningish.

Having worn the **Magic Underwear** for many years of my life, I can tell you it protects just about as well as a badly made flimsy Tshirt, which is really what it is. I was an aircraft welder at Hill AFB for 10+ years while finishing my degree. You stand in one spot running welds with stick or wire gun for 8 hours, you get spatter. It don't protect you nohow, coveralls included.
