Hi all,
Glad to have found this forum! Although I'm lucky to live in a very accepting place, I don't know many non-believers. Most of my friends don't mind that I don't believe, they just don't get it. Some think it's a phase. My eyes have been open for a long time and I still have a difficult time not trying to convince everyone of the rediculousness of the bible or any myth, hopefully this forum will give me the chance to speak with like minded people and have a discussion where the answer is not "it's god's will!"
You should start eating their young. They'll come around.
Welcome, but we truly can't stand each other around here. Embrace your inner hater.
If you live in the US like I do, this summer throw a few baby roasts. US baby eating atheists will flock right to you.

Welcome aboard Betta fish! There's something fishy going on here. :shhh: Solitary
There are atheist meetups (http://atheists.meetup.com/). And a considerable online presence, of course.
But before we become friends, I have two questions.
1) Red or Blue?
2) Why?
Welcome to our humble club, Betta fish. Here you'll find plenty of like-minded, (in)sane people.
Welcome fellow heathen!
Welcome to the forum.
And good luck with making friends here :)
Good afternoon Betta fish, an welcome fae Scotland.... :kidra:
Welcome.
What country do you live in? I live in the UK and the majority of my friends are either atheist, agnostic or non-praticing Christians (by which I mean that they call themselves Christian if asked, but that is the extent of their commitment). So it's interesting to hear you say that among the people you know, you are in the minority (which I know is the case in a lot of places).
From Montréal Canada. Not the most religious of provinces, but probably one of the places on earth with the most churches. Kind of through my family for a loop when I said I left my body to science! Had to bite my lips to keep from laughing at their reasons against this choice.
If you know anyone there by the last name of Amell tell em John illegally immigrated to upstate NY back in about 1896 or something like that. He was my grandfather.
