Title: Hello from California
Post by: Glitch on March 20, 2014, 01:59:12 AM
Hello one, and hello all.

My name is Glitch, and I live in California. I'm an Atheist, and have been since I took a course in physics in my freshmen year of Highschool. Before that I was just agnostic. And before that I was a baptized Roman Catholic, against all my given will, of course.

I'm currently working on getting my MS in computer science and my BS in game design. So naturally, I love computers. And video games.

I spent 9 years of my childhood in one of those typical Catholic schools, with poor education, and even a policy that if I didn't get an A in Religion class, I would be kicked off the honor roll.

Always got straight A's though, just because I'm really good at understanding things.

I can sometimes be a bit crude, and very sarcastic, but I always make my point as clearly as I possibly can. I enjoy people, and for the most part, get along surprisingly well with just about everybody. Except for blatant idiots. I usually just ignore them.

I also love Furbys.

You're doomed to failure making a clear point here, but you're welcome to try. Welcome Glitch!

Welcome to the forums :) Always nice to see more game designers and game enthousiasts :D

EDIT: Also awesome to see people with blue hair :D It's been a while since I dyed mine blue, but it's still an awesome color :P

I shall try as best as I can!

And thank you :D Glad to see I'm not the only computer geek in here~ And you should dye your hair blue again :3 mine always starts to fade to silver. andiloveit

I wonder what my colleagues would think. It's almost funny enough to try, except that I'll be stuck with white streaks or even entirely white hair for months again :P

Considering it's normally jet-black and I wear it long, it's going to be showing for a long time.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you dyed your hair blue or is that your natural colour?

I usually dye it. Sometimes the magical smurfs come to my bed at night and sprinkle blue dust all over my bed and make it super neon.

And I still say go for it :D Or maybe do some like... hmm... Maybe some highlights of blue? Then just redye it black when it starts to fade o3o Black never gets out of your hair... ever...

Remind me in two months and I'll do it. Consider it blackmail or something, we can use some new returning members :P

Thank you!

And I will remember this... for the rest of eternity.... or at least my life. So long as I don't die in the next 2 months from a Furby attack or something. I swear these cute little things are watching me as I (try to) sleep.

My end goal is to someday work for Blizzard Entertainment as the lead programmer for Star Craft 2 (3?) or World of Warcraft (if it's still around...)

To start things off, I'm currently designing websites for friends, and blog sites too, like on Tumblr. Personalized themes and CSS and mumbo jumbo from otter-space.

I will (someday!!) hook you up with all the Beta passes I can get my hands on! So far I've gotten Beta for Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Lords of Draenor, whenever that Beta test finally starts. Hopefully soon.

Do you make your own games? And if so, what's your tool of choice?

I'm yet to make a fully functional game, but my program of choice for game dev is deffinately Unity3D and Microsoft Visual.

Then make one.

I guarantee it will make writing the next one much easier.
