Considering how many straight catholic people engage in anal sex just to get around the restriction that they cannot have sex before marriage, I'd say there's more important groups to focus on than homosexuals.

The Wisdom comes from the Bible. The Catholic Church does not condone pedophilia officially. We have done a bunch of stupid crap indeed when it comes to solving that problem. In the 80's and before the medical profession thought pedophilia was "curable." A local hospital held a "treatment group" that existed of trying to test who would repeat their offences by hooking up the guy to some device that could detect erections and then showing them kiddie porn. If he could look at kiddie porn without an erection then he was pronounced cured.
Treatment programs abounded and the few that were caught were silently sent off to treatment programs. Given the recidivism rate obviously they realize now that cannot or to this date cannot cure pedophilia.
Problem is they tell you they were born that way and can't help it thus you have NAMBLA whining about more tolerance for man boy love with consenting boys at whatever age they believe consent can be made without legal repercussions. Should we allow that because they were "born that way" or is this homosexuality?

If you did a little exploring-heck, just spend some time on here- you would note that sexual and other forms of abuse exist throughout the world in religious organizations. I've posted instances on here about the Mormon Church. Religions are hierarchical institutions that lend themselves nicely to situations where abuse can occur. People who are abused and report it are shunned by the religious community.

When it's an adult with a child there is no consent. The child can't consent. The adult will always have the advantage in such a situation. They can and do manipulate the child using fear, deception, coercion, and other means to get what they want.
Even if pedophiles are born that way it will never take away the fact that if they act on their impulses it will always victimize another person. Homosexuals having sex with consent victimizes nobody.
So yeah, fuck you if you try to equate homosexuality with pedophilia again.

I apologize it is not my intent to equate the two. The problem I have is with NAMBLA wanting to lower the age of consent so they can rape boys younger than them for man boy love relations.
I just wonder if that's homosexual tendencies or pedophilia tendencies for they say these boys are able to consent but how do we know they haven't been groomed to think so.
