Yep the NFL is a nonprofit even though it is a billion dollar business.

The NFL is the last of the big 3 that list itself as a nonprofit organization. Granted many regard Pro football as a religion and they hold services generally on Sunday but they aren't or should be a nonprofit.

It's no secret that they contribute to conservatives because hey if you're corrupt and you want to stay that way then you'd better support the corrupt party!

Hmm..a non profit, huh?.. For some odd reason the only phrase that comes to mind is, 'In a pigs eye.'
It certainly explains how teams are able to coerce cities to foot the bill to build stadiums that ONLY the teams are the primary tenent and why those stadiums are seldom used for anything else but football. Why of course..it's all just social welfare.

Guess noone cares about the giant NFL scam. Just like Cowboy fans willing to pay and average of $200 dollars a seat and $75 to park to see a team that will never make the playoffs and is at best mediocre!
Football has always annoyed me, it doesn't get taxed to my knowledge yet so much of American culture poors over the shit. Its a multi Billion dollar industry that gets no money taken from it.
It's as bad as the no taxing churches of a certain size

I always heard this to be more accurately called corporate communism, but I may be wrong like many other things.

The league doesn't get taxed, but the teams do. That's where all the profit goes. While technically true, this thread is misleading.
