Hi, everyone. I'm Emily.
I'm a skeptic, atheist, wife, mother of a beautiful 3 month old daughter. I grew in a very Pentecostal household in Nashville and now I'm living outside of Buffalo, NY.
Nice to meet you all. :)

Welcome aboard Emily! I was raised in Nashville, Chattanooga, and Red Bank. I lived below the Incline with all the darkies in Nashville. He! He! Solitary
Welcome to the forums :)
Welcome! :-D
Welcome to the forums Em
Welcome to our lil house of horrors.
Welcome to the Dark Side.
Welcome, Em! I was raised Pentecostal, too.
I had a roommate named Emily once. She was evil. I was trying to forget!
For your sake, I will make an effort to think of the name Emily without also thinking 'evil'.
Welcome. We are invaded by weirdos from time to time, as you will soon see, but it's a public forum so don't assume this is necessarily a place of refuge. But I hope you will enjoy it anyway.

I can never decide if Pentecostalism or Catholicism produces a higher percentage of atheists per capita. Welcome.
Welcome to the jungle.... 8-)
Hi Emily :) Welcome to the forums.
Welcome ! your introduction is rather complete.
Welcome to the piranha club, Emily!
Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Ha, it's true.
I was raised in the UPCI belief system and females couldn't wear pants, only skirts to be "modest"; cannot cut their hair (when I left the church my hair was past my butt); and boys and girls were segregated from each other at church services and camp meetings in an attempt to reduce "dirty thoughts".
Ugh, I had to go to three services a week! At the time I loved, until I began thinking outside the box. A lot of my friends I had in the UPCI church growing up have left it for other denominations but some are atheists.
Welcome to the forum, Em.
Well, I for one think the name Emily is very sexy and I'm disappointed to hear you cut your hair, but as a consolation prize I humbly request nude photos of you with that hair as per forum rules.
Lacking photos I'll have no other recourse than to just say welcome to the forums. :)
Don't let him scare you off. We don't usually ask for nudes until after the first month...
Yes you should be scared. I'm actually the lone gentleman here. The rest of these cads will sell your nude photos to Jr high punks so you're probably better off just sending them to me for safe keeping. :)
And people wonder why atheism has trouble attracting women...
Perverts, church makes you used to that.
Buffalo?
Move.
