Title: Will Republicans ban the teaching of evolution in public schools?
Post by: FreethinkingSceptic on May 22, 2025, 02:26:08 AM
Given that Donald Trump is president, and they control the House and the Senate, now is the right time to do it if they want to.

Republican judges have repeatedly ruled against the various "alternatives" to evolution on the grounds that said alternatives are not science, while also confirming that evolution is science. If evangelicals start getting appointed as judges, that could change, but for the time being I don't see that happening.

I've had conversations with two elected officials.

1)  "It was so cold outside last night the stars were falling out of the sky."  (WTF?)

2)  "Evolution might be true for animals, but it's sure not true for humans."  (WTF?)

I can't even begin to understand the lives these fucking people live.

"Hummin' beans are the creation of God!"

"So is everything else if your beliefs are true."

"Don't play those games with me, asshole."
