Title: What is the point in believing in science if it doesn't make you happy?
Post by: FreethinkingSceptic on May 15, 2025, 12:50:20 AM
I'm not saying that everyone is, but if someone believes in science and is still miserable, then what's the point in believing in it. Wouldn't it be better to be a person with a 60 IQ who is happy?

So if believing in Santa Claus makes you happier than believing in gravity, maybe it's better for you to just believe in Santa.

If you'd rather believe in a comfortable lie than a hard truth, that's your prerogative. Personally, I don't find much comfort in the idea that a god who watches me poop is torturing people in Hell for all of eternity.
