Basically, two American cultural icons. Its impossible to think of USA without John Wayne. Reason is, was George Washington perfect? No. Was John Wayne perfect? No. But they bring a sense of presense of icons in a sense. And thats why i like them in a sense. Now i may not identify with George Washington since i am not American afterall. But John Wayne, now that guy is awesome!
Compared to lets say, Stephen Seagal who is flatout a huge douchebag. Van Damme wins over him anytime!
But i am glad Joseph McCarthy won when it came to Hollywood communism paranoia, because if not you would have tons of movies such as "Salt of the earth 1954" movie. It would just be miseries on screen, the way you see ever since hipster movement took over in 2013. So atleast we got 60 years of socialist free entertainment thanks to Joseph McCarthy

When I think of John Wayne, I think of a guy reciting lines with no acting ability whatsoever. Sorry, but I've never understood the fascination.

So, you are a Norwegian troll, eh! I had one of them on my desk while in the Army--made a Sgt. Lifer uniform for him--cunt cap and all. He was funny--you are not. More like an empty headed one, you are.
John Wayne nearly went to jail over a starving mule.

My favorite scene
Wayne was a horrible actor, played the same "character" in every movie. I laugh when his movie occasionally pop up. Love how fight scenes where it takes 3 seconds to pull his arm back to throw a punch. Hell, I'm 67 and I could hit him 4 times before he got forward motion.
As to the rest of your gibberish, that was just stupid.
"Character actors" were supposed to stay in character.
Yeah, John Wayne had a noticeable acting style for each of his roles---called wooden style. And was apparently a nazi-style Repub in politics.
When I think of John Wayne, I think of Ghengis Khan.
I didn't know that movie was made the year I was born!

Owww.. that guy was just horrible. I mean reading about the stuff he did makes me sick honestly. But not surprising that Stephen King probably used this for IT horror book he wrote

There you go again. You know nothing of my politics, but that does not stop you from making something up and saying it is factual. Plus, you are unintelligible about what you said and think you as clear as a bell. You really are related to Greene.
