New riots break out in Paris after young man is raped with a baton

Last Monday evening, for the third consecutive night, riots broke out in the northern banlieues of Paris, in Aulnay-sous-Bois, after a complaint was filed against a police-officer suspected to have raped a young man with his bludgeon. Five to ten cars were set ablaze and the vehicles of the police and emergency services were damaged.
The 22-year-old, black victim, hailing from Aulnay-sous-Bois, needed rectal surgery after he was severely injured Thursday night during a partially filmed interpellation.
The dispatched police-forces were cornered Monday-evening “and fired warning shotsâ€. The young man had accused the officer of rape after he penetrated him anally with his baton. The involved police-officer was charged with rape and three of his colleagues for using violence. The four lawmen were suspended.
“We are not yet in a phase of popular insurrectionâ€, mayor Bruno Beschizza of Aulnay-sous-Bois responded, but he “asks the authorities to give a clear signal that the government stands behind the people and not against themâ€.
President François Hollande said Tuesday in a redaction that the role of the Justice Department is to protect civilians, including when a law enforcer is involved, when referencing to the persecution of the four suspended police officers.
Premier Bernard Cazeneuve on his side pleaded to act against law enforcers guilty of “serious faults†with determination. “I know the police and gendarmerie are under a lot of pressure in the fight against terrorism and violence, but they must act exemplary at all times.â€

i agree. Bad cops, perhaps PTSD ... perhaps too much vino ;-) Hope they lose their stinkin' badges. But new riots are just in time for Le Pen.
Good Grief! That is cruel. Once arrested and immobilized, shoving a baton up a guy's ass accomplishes nothing of value.

Shades of Rodney King ... also produce riots. But the cops aren't there for the 99%, just for the 1%.
