All child care is indoctrination .. much easier to do than after they are 21. The question is who is doing the indoctrinating, and in what fashion and content. Most parents have given up their parental rights to the State, in pursuit of consumerism and women's lib.

Parents don't have rights. They have responsibilities. Many, perhaps even most, aren't up to the job.

Once you surrender to the State, you are only fit to be a Morloch. A Morloch with responsibilities? Naw, just give them the lash!

Parents have both rights AND responsibilities. And no one is truly "up to the job". Some do better than others, but that has a lot to do with how THEY were raised. Sometimes a difficult child is really caused by several generations of failures. Should you blame that child?

This is why group guilt is still in play, in spite of insane individualism. Also I am not sure I like the whole "blame game". Bad things happen, do we need to also string people up?
Never had any children that I know of.

It takes a village to raise children, have you done your part (including pay taxes to support public school) or were you a village idiot? ;-) If the children were you live are feral, because they were raised poorly, then you will have to pay for that, by shooting young hoodlums crossing your lawn ;-(
Whatever nonsense my kids are told in school is quickly debunked when they get home.
