Sometimes pink news can believe some real garbage news reports, like any tabloid website. But this one made me both laugh and same time loose another droplet of hope from my humanity gauge.

Its worth analyzing though. Aside from the obvious lies the mother is telling her daughter about god, she also told her the lie that god invented marriage, also that 'jehovas standards haven't changed', except where the bible gets rewritten all the time.
It is so comforting to know that Jehovah knows what will make us happy...like marrying someone of a gender we are not physically attracted to. And I'm so glad he wants to "be my friend". Because all my "friends" have the stipulation that I have to do whatever they say to be my friend and that's not selfish or stupid in any way. I would so hate to disappoint Jehovah. It sounds like if I did the little bitch might take his ball and go home. Boo hoo.
So much of the Bible is obvious bullshit (creationism, miracles, etc.), people should realize that everything in it should be read with immediate skepticism. On top of that, parents inject their own personal biases into their religious doctrine.
God invented marriage? I'm not sure the Bible even makes that claim, although maybe it does somewhere. It strikes me as odd that churches award themselves so much credit for marriage when all that is necessary is an avadavat recorded with the state, but people seem to feel a marriage is not valid until the exact moment it is conferred by the minister when he "now pronounces you man and wife." Then a couple becomes married, and everyone leaves the church rejoicing. The marriage license itself then takes on the meaning of just an annoying piece of red tape. But the perception that marriage is something ordained by God lives on, and it gives the church power over our personal lives, and power is what religion is determined to perpetuate.
But religions do morph (or die out) with the times, only to be replaced with new religions that again assert as much power as they can in an attempt to perpetuate themselves for as long as it is possible to get people to give them more of their money or keep a job for the Pope and his advisors.
The clip's production value: Surprisingly beautiful
The clip's message: Unsurprisingly crap

Mom: "So, what can you say to Carry?"
Kid: "Weeeeeell... I can tell her she must break apart her parents' marriage, get them to divorce, and then convince those mommies to switch their sexuality (given that they are lesbians and not bisexual) and get me two step-dads in what are almost determined to be two loveless marriages."
Mom: "That's awesome! Let's practice."
Disgusting crap. Made to 1:33.
From a church that is only about 100 years old. Definite authority in that ;-)

Who knew that all you had to do to be the ultimate authority on the Bible is to rewrite it to match your beliefs.

Every pen holder managed to pass his bullshit in it?
In the old days, writers didn't put footnotes at the bottom of the page, or notes at the end of the book. Copyists who wanted to editorialize, didn't highlight their comments in red ink, to avoid corrupting the original. In fact, the originals didn't have punctuation at all.
Whenever God's disappointed he lets it be known! By pestilence, storm, earthquake or flood!
So don't disappoint God by marrying anyone he doesn't want you to marry. But how do you know who that is? Why, the Bible tells us so!
