Same.  A breath of fresh air and some exercise is surprisingly revitalizing, though of course it's no substitute for therapy/medicine.  Also, I have a tendency to do the standard "How are you?" and no matter what they say, tell them how I'm doing...for quite a while.  ><

Jesus. You've gotta teach your pets boundaries. Cats are pretty easy. Just get onto them if they jump on something or scratch something they're not supposed to. Offer them alternative places to climb and scratch. Dogs are much harder to get to behave.

*Knock knock*

Dog: "Kill mode activated! Must protect property from intruder!"

*Comes in.*

"Oh, my dog! Hi! You're my new favorite person! I'm so excited! Mind if I smell your crotch? How's your sense of balance? I'll jump on you to test it."

Dogs are so easy to get along with because of their pack mentality.  Dog playfulness/jumping/licking is just their way of getting attention, establishing a rapport, or checking up on you.
