I went with the second one's advice, and it's worked well for me. Still working on not being a bottom right.

Same.  A breath of fresh air and some exercise is surprisingly revitalizing, though of course it's no substitute for therapy/medicine.  Also, I have a tendency to do the standard "How are you?" and no matter what they say, tell them how I'm doing...for quite a while.  ><

Not always a good idea to go with the lowest bid...

We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

When I go to a party or something and there are wings, small sandwiches, chips, dip, and salsa and a cat on the counter. "Would you care for anything?" "I think I'll just have a glass of wine, thanks".

ngl, I'd eat free wings even if I dropped them on the floor

I'm reminded of the time my parents visited an aunt and uncle, and the cat was up on the dining room table helping itself to the butter. 🤨 No butter on my parent's toast at that house!

Jesus. You've gotta teach your pets boundaries. Cats are pretty easy. Just get onto them if they jump on something or scratch something they're not supposed to. Offer them alternative places to climb and scratch. Dogs are much harder to get to behave.

*Knock knock*

Dog: "Kill mode activated! Must protect property from intruder!"

*Comes in.*

"Oh, my dog! Hi! You're my new favorite person! I'm so excited! Mind if I smell your crotch? How's your sense of balance? I'll jump on you to test it."
"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

Dogs are so easy to get along with because of their pack mentality.  Dog playfulness/jumping/licking is just their way of getting attention, establishing a rapport, or checking up on you.
