I agree that he is evil, but I also think he is stupid. Everything he has done has been for himself and his super wealthy buddies. But he's also a complete moron who thinks it's a good idea to look directly at an eclipse without protection. I think he really believes most of the stupid stuff that comes out of his mouth. He's a terrible liar, but Conservatives believe him anyway.

Blackleaf, you said: "Everything he has done has been for himself and his super wealthy buddies."  That is my point.  In that endeavor he has been successful beyond his wildest dreams.  He is stupid about facts, because he cares nothing about facts.  He simply wants what he wants and he wants it now.  And he has gotten it so far.  He lies about everything because that has worked for him all of his life--and he cares nothing about facts.  He doesn't care about facts, he doesn't care if he is right--he only cares about what works for him in that particular moment.  He doesn't care if he is lying or not.  He only cares about him and what he considers his.  He lies and bribes his way through life and so far it has gotten him what he wants.  I think too many dismiss him as a moron, and in most ways he is.  But he is dismissed as one at the peril of most of us and our country.  He is not yet defeated and to think he is is to give him the advantage.  He can still win in Nov.--he still has his base.  Still.  My neighbor across the street thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread and will vote for him in a heart beat.  Still.  I don't think conservatives believe the man--but they are scared of his reprisals and love his payoffs too much to go against him--even if they sell out the country doing it.  I think Biden will win--but I am still very worried. Still.

Evil and stupid are two different things.  One can be evil and brilliant.  Or one can be evil and stupid.  Or one can be evil and neither.  One can be stupid and evil.  But one can just be stupid.  Trump is about power, not facts or knowledge.  He has used lying to a great extent because with the correct amount of power his lying does not hurt him or what he wants.  He is totally about power (and thus money) and will do anything to anybody at any time to get it or maintain it.  He is like a crime boss--I think he fancies himself as a Godfather type mob boss.  He love dictators and hates anything to do with republics or democracies or socialism.  He wants to have total power and is good at gathering it.  One example is his appointing so many judges; and he has very skillfully broken our checks and balance system.  He is stupid about how those checks and balances were put into place or even why they were; he is skillful about how to break them.  He is not dangerous because he is stupid; he is dangerous because so far he has been skillful in getting what he wants.  And to label him as stupid and dismiss him is how he got to be president.  He is a seriously evil man and if he is not defeated this Nov. we are in for major, major pain.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand... bruh, that's your fault you fucking idiot. On the otherhand we have been pump-fed news 24/7 about how it's not bad, how it's a hoax, how it's just fear-mongering, etc. etc. etc. ... if people don't take the time to actually look into it then a lot of the blame does have to fall on the shoulders of people who spread misinformation.
