You know, they could be real bastards and demand that everybody read that book.

Of course there would be a lot fewer Christians there if that happened.

Sheesh!  They've got State Songs, State Birds, State Flowers, State Slogans, State Colors, State Flags, State Mammals, State Gems (or Stones), State Dogs, State Fishes.  State icons vary from state to state, but there are hundreds of State things, and all of them are meaningless representations that make silly attempts to say what's so special about a state.  It's absurd.

For example, the State Bird of Illinois is the Cardinal.  Well, whoop dee fuckin' do.  It's not like you have to take a trip to Illinois if you want to see a God damned Cardinal.

I'm not sure every state has a State Book, but if it's the Bible, does everyone in Mississippi go to Heaven?  Suppose Texas wants the Bible too?  Are there some kind of infringement laws that prevent that?  Could Mississippi sell the rights to other states because they thought of it first?  Thank god we have dedicated lawmakers in state legislatures where our leaders can devote their time to such pressing matters.

nah, they'd just skim over the parts they don't appeal to them and mark the pages and passages they feel does, like one will like the stoning gays part more, while the other will like the mass genocide of everyone due to flooding more. Its like a candy dish.

What makes them like this? I really wonder about it.
What kind of person needs a book how to act. Really really wonder.

Its the flock mentality of the human species. We all have it, its just that certain 'flocks' are larger, and instead of teaching morals and understanding, it pulls people into a state of only operating to what they are told to act like, no free thinking, just follow where the flock goes.

A pathetic, although accurate testimony to the human race.

So we have a test. Fail and you're one of the "also rans" in the next "Hunger Games".

Would be nice to show up what goes on in a theists mind in context to what they believe, belief being only the chosen aspects of their religion. you would literally have to be a sociopath with multiple personality disorder in order to follow every line and verse of the bible and claim it completely right.
