The president of the United States fucked up while coloring the flag for children.

I don't know if that is ground for impeachment, but it's stupid enough to warrant at least thinking about it.

Well, he's a sort of peachy color, so maybe he's already been impeached in the abstract, and all we have to do is make it real.

Michael Cohen's lawyer is Lanny Davis, a long time friend of Hillary Clinton.  He was forced by the Papal Nuncio to retract some of his loud public claims he has made recently.  He had to do two Hail Hillaries and donate $100 into the plate.

The Republicans were SO OUTRAGED by Bill Clinton getting a blow-job from a willing intern that they impeached him.

But the Republicans don't care that:

Trump admitted on tape that he sexually assaulted many women
Invaded dressing rooms at beauty pageants routinely
Engaged in racial housing discrimination
Has Mafia ties
Created a totally false university
Deliberately damaged apartments to drive tenants away
Declared bankruptcy 4 times are strictly a profit tactic
Hired undocumented workers to demolish a building, underpaid the workers, and didn't provide protective wear
Committed "marriage rape"
Broke New Jersey casino rules (and that takes some effort)
Violated anti-trust regulations
Falsified condo agreements and expectations
Routinely fails to pay workers and contractors (daring them to sue him)
Bought his own books to improve selling statistics
Hired undocumented women as models
Did business with Cuba when it was illegal
Lies about charity gifts

And that doesn't bother the Republicans...

The Republicans are outraged about EVERYTHING done by anyone not a Republican.  Doesn't even matter if it's not even illegal or unethical.  I'm still waiting for the hearings on Condie Rice's and Colin Powell's private email servers.

The only actual Trump Derangement Syndrome is the blind, slavering, deranged worship Trumpies have for the Orange Disaster Area.  I mean, I'm a die-hard Democrat, but I'm perfectly willing and capable of discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the Clinton and Obama presidencies -- or Carter or Johnson or Kennedy or Truman or Roosevelt or however far back you care to go.

You can't get a Republican to ever admit the possibility that any Republican president ever did anything wrong, or that any Democratic president ever did anything right.  Half the time, you can't even get them to admit to things that Republicans actually did, no matter how much documentary evidence there is.

Personally, I refuse to engage with the delusional.  As soon as a conversation starts with "Socialist cucks..." or the like, fuck 'em.  That's not someone who wants to, or can, have an actual exchange of ideas.  Their brains are set in concrete.

Nope, not in the least.  Hypocrisy is the hallmark of the modern Republican.  I can remember when one could still have a meaningful conversation with one.  It really hasn't been possible for the most part since 1994 and the rise of Newt Gingrich and scorched-earth politicking.  Evil Twin and I quit talking politics around 2000 (for the record, he was a McCain supporter, and it took me five years to get off McCain's mailing list because I bought him a campaign T-shirt as a birthday present) because we valued our friendship more than our politics.  The only time we really talk politics anymore is when we *both* are bitching about Libertarians.

LIKE, LIKE, LIKE...

I think what most differentiates Democrats from Republicans is that Democrats don't support Democrat politicians who turn out to be scumbags and Republicans support their scumbags to the death.

And I am not surprised by that.  I once had a carpool member who thought sports penalties were just a calculation of the game.  That there was nothing wrong with breaking all the rules if the benefit was greater than the penalty.  He considered rules just to be "things to be manipulated".

That is not a way that I can think.  But Republicans, by evidence, do.  It is both baffling and a cause for alarm and anger.

The scariest things in US populations to me are the people who support Trump in spite of all the values they profess to believe and yet easily ignore for this one person.  Look at the Swift-Boat campaign against Kerry and attacks on Max Cleveland, yet support for  Bush and Trump who evaded the draft as "warriors".  Look at how they won't even acknowledge people like McCain as brave and heroic.

The hypocrisy sickens me.  They are living in a world of not rational thought and happy in it.

Sorry, but people are psychopathic ... this shows up particularly in their political expression.  Just like "Sneeches" with or without stars.

Fundamentalists, Pentacostals, Charismatics ... are all separate movements, mostly within Protestantism.  But expect ignorance from atheists.

I well recall the one time I got talked into going to an evangelical service.  I don't remember how I got talked into it, or why I said yes, but when they started speaking in tongues, I clearly remember thinking, "These people are fucking insane."  Glossolalia is fucking useless if it's not a real, in-use language.  Otherwise it's just "Lama lambacthala lamasala rama rama khlamachta..." and that's not a fucking language.  That's gibberish.  Speaking in tongues means using languages speakers of that language can understand, not blathering random syllables that the pastor can then claim means anything he wants them to mean.

By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!  A prophecy!

*dons weird hat and sacred undies*

I shall translate this prophecy with my ancient mayan runestones!  ($5.99 each at Walmart)
Now to google translate it from mayan to aramaic to british english to actual english.

It says..."9 times 9 the sacred serpent will rise the indecipherable"

Clearly, it's talking about the Draco constellation (or the Athenian legislator of the same name) and a leader of 9 territories instituting a new world order.  Huzzah!  Or maybe sacred means unholy and 9 times 9 refers to the year in which an unholy leader will reign.  Or the number of years of his/her reign.  Or maybe September 9th.  And indecipherable obviously means incredible/awe-inspiring.  Duh.

Oh my IPU, is this really how religions get started?  Nah, I'm probably doing something wrong.  Ooh, better take a past historical event and then form-fit it to this prophecy.  Can't be proven wrong when you never stick your neck out at all.  Unfalsifiable is just a fancy way of saying incontestable.

Boom.  Proof of divine presence right there.  Take that, atheists!

The Didache, from like the 1st century CE, says that if someone will speak in tongues .. then keep your mouth shut unless there is someone there to interpret.  Old old problem.

Using scripture as a rune ... was practiced by rabbis in the 2nd century CE.  All prophecy is after the fact, not before.  Rubes will be rubes.  The other folks were examining sheep entrails.

Ever heard of bibliomancy? That's when you open your Bible at "random" and put your finger on a "random" verse, and that's God speaking directly to you. I've known people who actually do this, and believe it!

That is what the rabbis did, except it wasn't a book, it was a scroll ... and there was no chapters, verses or punctuation.

You can also treat hebrew letters as numbers (the Greeks did the same).  From that you do gematria.
