At this point I'm not convinced that a good 25% of the population wouldn't plow on ahead strictly out of "principle".

When it floods where I live, due to tropic storms or hurricanes, there are always people who die because of it. Most of the time, it's because they decided to ignore warnings and drive straight into deep waters. People are stupid.

To be fair, the reason that warning exists is because people in the past did that and sued (not necessarily the same people)

And technology has advanced to the point where it's no longer necessary to manually adjust most stuff.
