I just finished watching a movie from 1964 called Fail Safe.
Great cast, a lot of tension and very suspenseful. The acting was really good, as you would expect from such a line-up.
Scary as hell!
The plot was a bit like Dr. Strangelove, but without the comedic parts.

Yeah, a classic. Who was the young translator again?

Yeah, the progeny. His Russian was flawless, rated one of three top translators. The other two were professors of the language.

Just watched another great Jackie Chan romp, called The Tuxedo. Even more wild than his usual movies!

Watched 'the batman'
Honestly? Big 'the dark knight rises' fan. And a great fan of the dc animated flicks.
But perhaps apart from arguably 'the joker', if it counts, this is the best batman movie i've ever seen.

Might give it a shot. Not a fan of whiney superheroes, but maybe. (Don't know if this iteration skips that, haven't seen it yet.)

Well let's be honest, ever since adam west, batman has always been at least a bit emo. That is true.

He was a comic book character, and yeah, emo. I couldn't stomach him when I was in school kid. Get Smart was more fun. (I had a shoe phone for a while, issued by the US government.)

I got to watch the original Steve McQueen movie, The Blob, from 1958! I guess I must have seen it decades ago, but didn't remember it very well. For the time it was a pretty good movie. At least the alien wasn't a person in a silly suit.
I thought there was a scene with the Blob coming out of a sink drain, but that never happened. Maybe I have Mandela syndrome...

Yer thinking of the 1988 remake... possibly the sequel, Beware of the Blob AKA Son of the Blob

Now I'm watching The Day of the Triffids, which I thought had Leonard Nimoy in it. Just more Mandela effect, I guess. 😎
Turns out that was Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

As I remember the movie was decent or better.  The book was/is one of my favs.
