I know you claim God doesn't exist if you're an atheist, or there is no reason to believe in God (without being able to prove it scientifically) or anything that would in practice be the same kind of thing so we can include the Brahma and the Tao or whatever else. The only thing atheists have in common is that they believe there is not enough evidence to believe in the existance of any gods. Everything else depends on the person themselves, not their atheism.

It's hilarious the prestidigitation they'll resort to in their lame attempt to claim they're not showing governmental favoritism for Christianity.  What would be even more nettlesome for them would be an Islamic group requesting permission for Islamic iconography at the Capitol.  A judge may well rule that the Satan statue is not a sincere religion, and it's probably not in this particular case as it seems more likely motivated to expose the hypocrisy of the OK government.  A judge could not rule that way on Islamic iconography, and OK fundies would go equally bat shit insane over it.

You wouldn't need evidence that something like a car would require a maker you would just know to look at it.   Even if you want to use evolution as an example you only had the process due to a complex finely tuned natural order that allowed for it established from the start. This naturally leads to the conclusion that the natural laws were purposefully rigged up and the only kind of thing that can purposefully do anything is an intelligence.
