No. even in the late 60s and early 70s, I experienced both liberal and conservative professors. So I had to be able to show views on tests that I might not have agreed with. to pass the courses.

Liberal professors outnumber conservatives nearly 12 to 1, study finds (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/oct/6/liberal-professors-outnumber-conservatives-12-1/)
And conservative professors must hold their views if they want to keep their jobs.

I'm not terribly surprised at that. Most science, history, and other subjects are advancing in information. Conservative teachers don't have much new information to offer, being rather staid in nature. Universities are normally progressive about new learning.
There are a number of subjects that are pushed by unis, gender studies, women studies, and dozens of other “studies†which are of no use in real life. Those are the professors who are indoctrinating students.
Science can also be taught through the Marxist lens.
History is also revisionist. See the destruction of historical figures.
Should you be ashamed, or feel guilty of your history?
It is simply the deconstruction of America and its culture.
This is cultural Marxism, to tear down the west.
Not just America, Canada, Europa, Australia, etc.
A global effort that everybody ignores or unaware of because of academic indoctrination.

I was not referring to specialized studies such as you you mentioned, but those are appropriate to universities. Students should be exposed to many ideas.
But you fail when you insist that history and science should be taught "through the Marxist lens." The US is not Marxist, not should i be. Marxism failed.
I do not see the "destruction of historical figures" as all that important. Do you mean like how Lenin fled back to Scandanavia every time his group was rounded up? Or how he arranged to have Trotsky killed?
It doesn't matter much to me, but it doesn't do your own argument much good either.
You can't do much of a "deconstruction of America and its culture" when we do it just fine ourselves, LOL!
"A global effort that everybody ignores or unaware of because of academic indoctrination." Man, talking about being on the ash heap of history...

There is a misunderstanding, perhaps I didn’t express myself very well.

No, there was no misunderstanding. I am not responsible for the Civil War Generals, especially if you mean the Southern slave-defending ones. My ancestors fought them and died, my ancestors fought the Nazis and Japanese in WWII (all returning, oddly enough), and yes, the Germans are responsible for their past. As are we all about slavery. But it IS the past.
Are you feeling responsible about slavery in the past?
You should not be. You do not keep slaves, and not likely to keep slaves in the future.
But here is something. There are still over 35.8 millon slaves on the planet.

Miscount. Wage and debt slaves aren't counted. But those more serious slaves, that is serious. It is British Victorian to abolish slavery thru the power of the British Empire and British Evangelicalism. But we are way past that.

I don't actually connect atheism to communism, and sometimes you do. Just saying...
Atheism has something to do with communism.
Religion is shunned in communist countries.
The Soviet Union (past) China, NK all discourage religion.
In Hungary the deity was Stalin.
The media predicted 98% probability for Hillary.
When she lost, there was a meltdown in the Democrat camp.
Instead of religion there is Cult of Personality. (https://www.wikiwand.com/en/List_of_cults_of_personality)

I generally deny the connection of communism with atheism. In communism, unofficially the deity was the head of State. I do not think of atheism as political.

Your mistake. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. For you, in the US, it wasn't political. If you lived in the Warsaw pact it was. And R-wingers here didn't fail to notice. It was one of their chief means, since 1917, to declare jihad on communists and communism. Particularly in Germany.
And most people consider such fascist stuff as ideology, not theology. Otherwise I can report lots of people here worship false gods. If I accepted your definition of deity, then all Presidents from Kennedy forward, are false gods, and political parties are churches (not just as polling places).

Look I try to understand that Europe is like sometimes after Napoleon, WWI and WWI!. Bismark said the US was blessed with 2 oceans and 2 weak neighbors. He was right. But isn't that at least a temporary benefit to the rest of the world.
We could have just stayed out of it all and benefited more. Hitler's Germany would have traded with us just fine via a conquered Britain. Would you have liked that better?

If Hitler had recognized his Jewish ancestry, and employed smart Jewish Germans ... he would have won easily, particularly if he didn't try to be such a Hun. Einstein etc working for Hitler instead of FDR. And yes, Bismarck was way too smart .. part of what makes Germans so damn dangerous. Yes, you just pin pointed British paranoia about the US. We still had contingent war plans to go to war with the British Empire, and steal Canada, as late as 1939 (Plan Red). British paranoia is why they had to find a way to indirectly rule the US from London, and did so, and still do. I am moderately pro-American, but not anti-anyone. As it was, as Hitler was (he could have been the best German of all time instead of the worst) ... we only made it out of WW II by the skin of our teeth (thanks to Russian and Chinese casualties mostly).

You equate religion and politics, it is who you are. It isn't who I am. I can separate the two. This is because of our very different origins. You from E Europe, me from America. I would hate to fight over something that is so characteristic of us as individuals, that we can't possibly change it.

History is full of "what-ifs"
Mostly, I like the alternative history Hitler (history-wise not humanity-wise) not attacking the Soviets and just unloading his armies into Britain. And then sitting in Europe...
The Spanish Armada could have conquered England if not for a storm and the same for China at Japan. Napolean could have won in Russia. Or Waterloo. Japan might have caught the US Aircraft carriers in Pearl harbor. Martians might have landed in Europe and changed WWII.
I love alternative history. But what was, is.

Religion and Politics may be integrated in many places but they are not the same. At least not forever. christianity and politics were connected in Europe, for example, and political leaders slowly pulled themselves free. It will happen with islam too. eventually.
