There are some in NC.  A couple times, I've seen some on a golf course.  Let's just say you absolutely do not want your ball to land in the rough near the water.

Also in upper Louisiana.  They have to shoo alligators off the post golf course at Fort Polk.

I call them "Bert and Ernie" for a reason. They recently got ordered to stop keeping salties in their basement.
