Yeah, you can hear them crabbing from the trees as they assemble.

Exception being the backyardigans, Mom and two kits who blackmailed me into feeding them. They rampage when their food dish is in danger. Kits aren't a year old yet but they go full viking when the need arises. Plus it's fun.

Flashed back to my grandparents small farm--I would sit on the lawn and watch two batches of barn swallows.  One nest in the barn and another in the garage.  They are the height of grace in the air, dancing around in the sky while ridding us of insects.  Beautiful.  And the added eye-candy of the wild canaries was an added bonus.
