People more qualified than Donald Trump to be President

I guess I've assumed that Donald Trump was doing so well in polls because he had lots of money, but there seems to be a growing number of people who like him because he "tells it like it is." I personally think "tell it like it is" is some kind of code word for "not at all like it is," but it's hard to be sure. But seriously, I see memes like these popping up more and more:

I therefore present the following list of people equally capable as Donald Trump to be president under that qualification:

Kanye West
Jimmy the Greek
Dog the Bounty Hunter
Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho
Mel Gibson
The cast of Seinfeld
Gilbert Gottfried
Ruby Rhod
Jane Fonda
Hulk Hogan
Nick Saban
Ted
Emily Blunt (I don’t know that she’s ever “told it like it is” but her name IS Blunt)

Ok, so some of them are too dead, too young, too fictional or too foreign to be president, but they’ve all proven they can be just as racist, sexist or inappropriate as Donald Trump. And technically Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho has already held the office of president, so he’s probably even more qualified.

That is the very reason he is doing so well. As to others running, this one is even more ridiculous than Trump. What is it with the Kardashians and all the other fake celebrities the media has made millionaires? Can you imagine Katne West as president, and Kim as the First Lady with her huge ass? I wonder why the United States is the laughing stock to other countries. I would love to see the President's march done in the style of Rap music. Yo! We are the biggest joke in the world that isn't funny. Keep those cards and letters coming.  :butt:

Following a storied and troubled history with MTV and its Video Music Awards, Kanye West came to the stage to accept the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award with a big announcement: that he's running for president in 2020.

The rapper took the stage after an extended introduction from Taylor Swift. "I first met Kanye West six years ago at this show, actually," said the pop star, referring to an incident at the 2009 VMAs where he interrupted her mid-speech while she was accepting an award. "Since then, we've had a lot of time to talk about a lot of different things. It seemed like everyone in the world knew about our infamous encounter at the VMAs."

She continued by stating that his debut, The College Dropout, was the "first album that me and my brother bought on iTunes at 12 years old." Swift then referred to the incident by paraphrasing what he infamously said: "I'm really happy for you, and I'ma let you finish, but Kanye West has had one of the greatest careers of all time. Right now, I'm honored to present the 2015 Vanguard Award to my friend, Kanye West."

West's most notable VMA moment was his controversial stage-crash at the 2009 ceremony. While Taylor Swift was accepting the trophy for "You Belong With Me," which nabbed Best Female Video, the rapper crashed the stage to declare that Beyonce should have won for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" that he termed "one of the best videos of all time." The fallout was immenseâ€"even President Barack Obama called him a "jackass" when asked about the gaffe. West later apologized on Jay Leno, saying, "It was rude, period."

Six years later, West had a few thoughts -- including some insight into his five-year plan -- as his wife, Kim Kardashian-West, stood side by side with Swift. Read the full text of the speech below:
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.

I'm honestly concerned over this, if this generation is going to vote for something they had no idea what the consequences would be.

I'm a brit sure so I won't see the impact right away of having a clown like that in power, but if bush as taught me anything its how much one political leader of one nation as effect other natures indirectly, and one as powerful as america has that kind of influence with countries its partnered with.

I actually put him at the top of the list not only because he deserves to be on a list of obnoxious people, but because he admitted at the VMAs that he actually wants the job.

I'm just floored by how many people like him based on how outspoken he is. I've heard lots of people say "He's just saying what everyone is thinking" but outside of neutral statements like "I'm hungry" or "I hate traffic," I don't think Donald Trump has ever said anything I was thinking.

We seem to have a current generation that bases its decisions and popularity vote, not on background, ethical stance or even charisma, but on you being outspoken, loud, crude and showing a not giving a shit attitude, and think those qualities count for something.

I'm pretty fearful of this generations standards.

Yeah, I feel like most of the people I know think Kanye West and Donald Trump are a joke, so I think I might be out of touch with how they are really being received by a broader public. I feel like Donald Trump could change his campaign slogan to "Fuck the haters, I hate Mexicans" and still receive uproarious support. It's mystifying.

It's more about just being in the media limelight than anything else.  This clown gets too much attention and people mistake fame for ability.

If elected I think Donald Trump would be the president America deserves.

At this point in the election cycle Trump is roughly as popular as Rick Santorum was last election.  That ain't saying much Donny.
All hail my new signature!

Admit it. You're secretly green with envy.

Some may be more qualified to be president than Donald Trump, but no one is more qualified at saying "China."

I saw a President Trump sign on the side of the road today. I don't love Hilary or hate her so don't really care either way if she wins. But I think if Donald Trump stays in the race till the end he will end up winning the election for Hilary the same way Palin won the election for Obama the first time round.

I'm kinda thinking that, too.  So, I'm rooting for Donald in the primaries.  Better yet, he gets pissed and runs as a 3rd party candidate.

Maybe.  Probably.  But there's that one in a million chance that he wins the primary then somehow wins the presidency...
