Chances are the planet will be at the other side of it's orbit.  Thankfully, Voyager is not likely to crash on it.  So, we're good.

The orbit is estimated to be 10 to 20 thousand years so in 74 it won't have gone far.

Is Voyager even headed in that direction?

I don't think so. Those calculations were done in the what-if V1 is going towards planet X.

They have evidence that it exists now in the form of the gravitational effects it exerts on other objects. It has cleared it's orbital area. That's one of the requirements for an object to meet the current definition of planet. That's not the same as direct observation, but it is some of the same kind of evidence we have for the existence of dark matter or the super massive black hole at the heart of our galaxy.

Here is the image that Joseph linked earlier.

Are they suggesting this thing makes it almost all the way to the orbit of Jupiter? Wow.

I expect by the time it gets near again, we'll be able to go get it for use as building material. It'll let us make the Dyson sphere a bit thicker.

No, that's an inset. According to the diagram, planet X doesn't even get as close as the Kuiper belt. Otherwise, the diagram doesn't make a lick of sense.

The closest it would come would be Neptune’s edge at about 30 AU. (30 x 1.5 x 1011m)...small chance of a collision.
