11:50+ - It's easy to forget that while our attention is turned to the East, Trump is still doing his best here to support candidates that will turn a blind eye to another insurrection attempt; or, worse yet, actively engage in it from a political position.

This time, indited Count Clerk, Colorado Woman with 10 counts of election interference and tampering is now running for Colorado Sec. of State - the position in charge of overseeing the elections of the state.

If we don't get these Russian cancers out of our politics, they will bring us down before they collapse. There are certain actors, particularly within the Senate and Congress, that are actively funded by and subservient to Russian interests; hopefully the latest conflict has made them realize where their real loyalty should lay, but there are a few holdouts still that should be charged with treason and everything that entails. What else do you call men and women who gleefully kill their own nation for one big, bloody Russian paycheck?

Here's to hoping democracy works as well as we like to believe.

"Indicting" isn't quite the same as "convicting", now is it?

Honestly, I think that everyone should have at least a layman's understanding of our laws and criminal procedure, because it tends to lead to ignorance and assumptions when people don't, and they simply stop reading at the article title - not bothering to discern the differences between terms like "charged, indicted, convicted, overturned", and so on...

Depends on who you ask; the law? Probably not, she has too much political power to face any real consequences for her actions - and besides that, she is becoming a very useful political tool to dangle for the last two years as GOP cultists flock to her persecution.

If you ask justice, I think he perhaps would disagree - or agree only in that indicting isn't going nearly far enough.
