I dunno. That thing kind of reminds me of how cryptohos deflect criticism by simply repeating the criticism back. Say it's a scam, and they just say "It's a scam."

So now the christians are going to be shouting "magic sky pixies" and "flying spaghetti monster" at us?

Well, it is a scam.

I like how their response to examples of Biblical contradictions and their god's bloody violence is, "Yeah, we know." Uhh... 'Kay? Good for them, I guess. At least they're honest about their lack of consistency. Also, "Faith = no use brain?" Faith is inherently irrational. If there was evidence to support it, it wouldn't be faith. Doesn't mean one is an idiot because they are religious, which is what I think the person making the meme was insinuating we were suggesting, but the faith itself is something one is actively discouraged from questioning. Some even try to twist the irrational nature of faith into being a good thing, somehow.

1 Corinthians 1:18-27
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
    the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

"See? The Bible says people will think our beliefs make no sense! And they do think it's nonsense, so it must be true!"
"Oh, wearisome condition of humanity,
Born under one law, to another bound;
Vainly begot, and yet forbidden vanity,
Created sick, commanded to be sound."

Those verses were almost certainly written as a response to early teachings getting a cold reception among the more intelligent (one wonders why).

Sour grapes.

QuoteSurely, the reason this was shared is because its maker has a couple screws loose and clumsily argues by insinuation that atheists are the irrational ones?

More or less; I would say about 1/3rd of them are actually valid criticisms of atheist arguments, but the rest are just goofy af and I found it funny.

Strawman argumenting is the best the bible thumpers can do.
We 'new atheists' have a reputation for being militant, but make no mistake  we didn't start this war. If you want to place blame put it on the the religious zealots who have been poisoning the minds of the  young for a long long time."

Now I have to ask... was the ironic humor intentional? lol

The short answer is that { and } are often used to signify the start and end of a code block in some programming languages and forgetting to properly close the bracket can have undesirable effects (not sure if it borks the code or just annoys other programmers)

Probably depends on the code and the language, etc. Recently dealt with some Linux stuff and forgot to close a bracket and a second underscore or something. One stupid error can bork the whole thing.

Not something that I'm familiar with. I programmed in Basic, Lab Forth and FORTRAN so long ago that I really claim to know nothing, anymore.

I did COBOL back in the '80s. Never so happy as when I never had to do that shit again.
