I kinda want to sit fundies down and explain to them that "energy" is just an inoffensive metaphor for power in the electrical sense (i.e. "powered up").  You know, terms that even small children can understand.  Not, you know, the Christian concept of "demonic energy", a very geographically and culturally localized concept.

Games in general try to sell all across the world and therefore use concepts that most everyone can understand, like colors and shapes and generic terms like "energy".  Stuff that basically no one will have a problem with.

Edit - I also want to explain to them that the demons and devils in both Dungeons and Dragons and MTG are supposed to be evil because they're the bad guys.

Do they not understand the difference between a game and actual magic?

If I controlled any magic, I'd turn these people into educated individuals with at least a layman's understanding of science, instead of being so ignorant.

Unfortunately, trying to explain anything to fundies is a waste of time and energy.

Blue is the faction that values education and knowledge the most.  Enlightening their adversaries is certainly an approach that resonates with their values, while other factions would instead opt to silence or destroy their enemies.
